John Melling: Leave governor’s power alone
I voted in the most recent election. I made a selection for the N.C. governor’s race and I did not see Tim Moore or Phil Berger listed as one of the choices. Regardless of who I voted for in the governor’s race, my vote was for the person that I wanted to be the leader of this state.
The legislature has no business in trying to erode the powers of the governor. This power grab on the legislature’s part is similar to the child who gets mad and takes their ball home.
If either Moore or Berger want to run the state let them run for governor next time. Till then, leave the powers of the governor as they are.
