Royden Lobel: Totally partisan power grab

Regarding the Dec. 15 news article “Lawmakers look to limit Cooper’s power as governor”: Just when we thought that the Republicans who control our state government could not go any lower, they now decide because Roy Cooper won the governorship, to take away some of his powers including the right to independently appoint his own Cabinet.

Is there anyone who thinks that if Gov. Pat McCrory won the election that they would try to pass the same restrictions? If so, this New York transplant has a bridge in Brooklyn to sell them.
