Dana Tranier: Votes losing value

Regarding the Dec. 15 news article “Lawmakers look to limit Cooper’s power as governor”: Our vote for Gov. Roy Cooper was specifically to overturn House Bill 2 and begin the process of ousting good old boys from the legislature in favor or a fairly elected consensus by all the people.

Now the Republicans subvert the will of the people and grab power for their own interests by limiting the power of the incoming governor.

Not only are outsiders going to continue to boycott North Carolina events/businesses, but it feels our votes have no value in this state.
