Gene Presson: Leave party, religion out of appointing judges

I agree with the Feb. 10 Point of View “Elected officials who attack the courts undermine the judicial system” by J. Nicholas Ellis, but I would ask what about the judges who base their rulings on personal beliefs (religion) or political party theology?

When judges are appointed based on party affiliation or religion then something is wrong with the system.
