Dan W. Figgins: Senators sabotage negotiating power
Regarding your March 11 editorial “An outrage”: Didn’t Sens. Richard Burr and Thom Tillis notice what they told our negotiating partners and close allies Britain, France and Germany plus our negotiating adversary, Iran, plus every other government in the world? “The U.S. government is incapable of speaking with one voice. All commitments are subject to quick reversal.”
What government will want to negotiate with us again, as partners with common interests to protect or as adversaries with conflicting interests to minimize?
Dan W. Figgins
