W.D. Eastwood: No impact on poverty
Of the UNC Board of Governors’ stated reasons for closing the UNC Center on Poverty, Work and Opportunity, the most important is obviously that the center has not produced an appreciable impact on the reduction of poverty.
By that criteria, the North Carolina legislature and governor’s office would have been closed long ago.
