Ned Gardner: Useless ads for $1,000, Alex

Recently, my wife and I were watching “Jeopardy,” as we do most evenings and, out of the blue, up pops a partisan “public service” ad extolling the wonderfulness of U.S. Rep. Renee Ellmers.

It is March of 2015, isn’t it? Aren’t we about as far away from an election as possible?

I must conclude that Republicans have so much campaign money that it is burning a hole in their collective pocket.

As a partisan Democrat, I am heartened, however, to see their money being wasted in obviously self-aggrandizing ads aired during a game show based on factual information (some of it actually scientific!).
