Roger Stout: Compromise needed to fix problems
I read with interest the March 23 column “How business made us Christian” by Kevin Kruse. I have watched as our country has trended more and more to the “Christian” right.
I am sure that many of these people have a sincere interest in making the world a better place. I am equally sure that many have the attitude of “My way or the highway.”
The last time I checked, no one had a direct line to God, and no one had all the answers to fix our problematic world. It seems to me we would be far better off, if we could learn that word called compromise. We would also be much better off if we could respect each other’s opinion and join together to make the world a better place.
