Mel Kilberg: Strategy for Hillary Clinton
Hillary Clinton should give up her server to a select committee represented by her lawyer, a lawyer from the congressional committee that deals with this and nonpartisan representatives from the National Archives. A contract should be signed with all parties involved that anything that has nothing to do with national security should not be made public or investigated.
After this investigation is done, the server should be returned to Clinton and never mentioned again. She has to do this in order to put this behind her and move on. The days of letting time pass and hoping that it will go away are not going to happen with this aggressive Congress, whose main mission is to destroy her politically.
People make mistakes, but smart people know how to handle those mistakes, own up to them and move on. This will show that she is truly presidential material.
Recently, she said that she is going to concentrate her campaign on women’s issues. This did not work well in the 2012 election. She needs to reinforce how the president’s policies helped our nation.
