Tom Cadwallader: Progressive GOP?

I’m delighted to see that our state representatives have jumped onto the progressive bandwagon by their proposal to redistribute wealth (in the form of sales taxes) from the more affluent to poorer counties in our state.

If they follow through with the next logical step – raising taxes on corporate windfall profits and capital gains to further serve the needs of less fortunate North Carolinians – I might even start voting Republican.
