Mike Harris: Give schools composite grades

Regarding the April 26 Point of View “When A is for affluent”: We should grade schools like schools grade our children. Their overall grade is a composite of the grades in each class they take.

Most of the critics of the single grade school grading system have good points. Make those points distinct, measurable, public. That way while politicians are arguing about the formula for the composite grade, everybody else can see how the schools are doing in all aspects and in particular the aspects that are important to them.
