Rena C. Stevenson: Proms and pants

Regarding the May 20 news story “Selma teen in kilt denied entry to prom”: A Johnston County teenager was denied entry to a prom for homeschoolers because he was wearing his grandfather’s kilt.

The prom’s founder said, “We want to keep things about Jesus, and keep things very simple and straightforward.”

She would also refuse to let Jesus attend because he would probably not be wearing dress pants.
