Jack E. Koobs: VA showed best of care

Our son passed away May 8 at the Durham Veterans Affairs hospital after a two-month stay, the last seven weeks in its hospice unit.

The VA has taken a lot of criticism recently. I would like to set the record straight in our case.

Our son received the best of care from everyone involved. The kindness and compassion shown by the entire staff to both our son and the family were outstanding. Kudos to the VA.
