Tom Field: Dangerous myth
Nazi flags are not flown across in Germany in 2015. There are no SS license plates. But here in the United States, Confederate flags still fly to celebrate the war to maintain the enslavement of millions of slaves and the subsequent century-long apartheid laws of Jim Crow.
While Germany has admitted guilt for the Holocaust, the States of the Confederacy still perpetuate a dangerous myth that their evil cause was somehow noble.
It is not too late to tell these people that the distance from Adolph Hitler to Jefferson Davis is very close, about the circumference of the rings on a chain.
