Jerrel Yakel: Take Confederate flag off license plates

Maybe we cannot stop people in North Carolina from flying the battle flag of the Confederacy, but certainly we can request that North Carolina no longer makes license plates with this obviously hateful symbol.

As was said in Texas, where they recently removed it, if people really want to have it, they can get a bumper sticker.

The state should not support this hateful symbol by putting it on the official license plates.
