Sara C. Wenda: Open minds in changing times

Regarding the July 4 letter “Supreme Court tyrants”: One thing we do not need in this transitory life is people like the letter-writer spouting off about our Supreme Court justices.

These justices are nominated by our duly elected president and approved by a majority of the duly elected Senate.

Aside from her slanted “facts,” the writer missed the whole point that thankfully the majority of justices got.

What we do need are open minds in changing times. Let’s let individuals make their own private decisions. It’s no one’s business but theirs. We are taught to respect the dignity of every human being.
