Joel Glassman: Put more women on 10-dollar bill

Instead of putting just one woman on the 10-dollar bill, why not put a series of women on the bill? There are several women who have played a vital role in our nation’s history and they should be honored.

Congress could choose 10 women and each of them could be separately pictured on different bills. They could issue all to begin in a single year or choose to print bills with five of them in one year and five others beginning the following year.

If they want to get the public involved, they could put out a list of 20 women and have the public vote for the top 10. Why, they could even include this on Election Day. Would not that be a great way to get the vote out?

I vote for Betsy Ross and Rosa Parks myself as the top two.
