Margie Maddox: No payment received

As a proud member of the “Triangle Raging Grannies,” I was among several thousand people from North Carolina who participated in the July 13 Winston-Salem rally organized by the Moral Monday movement. We all marched to voice our concerns over the voting law changes as the N.C. Elections Law trial began. All around me were other members of concerned groups of people from North Carolina.

I read in the July 14 Under the Dome article “GOP tries to tie Moral Mondays to unions” that the GOP is trying to link the Moral Monday protest groups to “out-of-state unions” and insinuating that we are being paid to protest.

If these “out-of-state unions” are indeed responsible for the huge crowd, my question is simple: Where do I send my reimbursement request so I can get paid?
