Janet Joyner: Who doesn’t have ID?
While voter ID is still being debated and Rev. William Barber is still complaining that poor people are being discriminated against by requiring voter ID, I would like to go on record with the following observation:
In my office we are required to have an annual TB test. This year everyone went to the local health department for the test. When the appointments were made, they were told to bring a photo ID, and one of the first things they asked for when they went in was their photo ID.
My main point here is that most of the people Barber is so concerned about use our health departments. Do they have a photo ID? If not, why not?
