Veronica Bucki: Heavy heart

Regarding Wallace McLendon’s July 25 Point of View “When Obama-bashing ends friendships”: I had a heavy heart for McLendon for the same reasons.

When a friend quotes Fox News and reminds me of “your president,” I have to wonder what country he lives in.

When another friend puts notes on Facebook on the “Obamacare hit list,” I wonder where his Christian nature went.

When voices raise over differences of opinion, I wonder what happened to the love, care and concern for one another.

Then I remember. Ah, money talks, don’t mess with mine. I alone earned it.

The need to walk away is intense. Then I am reminded: Lord have mercy, for we know not what we do.
