Doug Jurney: Show proper respect

The July 25 Point of View “When Obama-bashing ends friendships” struck a chord with me. I have been through the exact same experience.

It seems to me a mature, secure person would tend to follow two rules of etiquette.

First, he or she simply would not engage in political hate ranting; it is the lowest form of conversation. Second, while it is fine to take issue with some policies, a person should always show respect to the sitting president. After all, it is the toughest job in the world!
