Georgie F. Brizendine: Hatchell deserves better

Regarding the Aug. 15 news article “It’s a tale of two UNC coaches”: Maybe someone can explain why Sylvia Hatchell is the sacrificial lamb while Roy Williams gets a lucrative contract extension.

Hatchell is the second-winningest women’s coach in NCAA history, and her record certainly equals his and may even surpass it.

UNC just can’t seem to get it right, but it should not be at Hatchell’s expense.
