Chuck Mann: Still big government
The big-government conservatives who rule our state still can’t agree on a budget. Apparently they can’t agree on how much bigger our state government should be.
North Carolina should have a law that states that if the General Assembly can’t create a budget in a certain amount of time, then last year’s budget would be used this year.
When conservatives run for office they falsely claim they will decrease the size and power of government. When have conservatives ever permanently, or temporarily, decreased the size and power of government?
Maybe Republicans want the government to grow at a slower pace than the Democrats, but they still want big government to get bigger.
