Douglas Graf: We shouldn’t pay for GA’s extension
The North Carolina House and Senate cannot find the time to agree on a budget to run the state but still manage to find time to pass bills trying to preserve their legacy with the Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights and bills trying to thwart President Obama’s actions to decrease global warming by limiting carbon dioxide emissions. They need to prioritize and focus!
I propose that the decision to reimburse them for their time, travel and expenses during these legislative extensions should be made by the voters in the next election after they pass a budget. Then, perhaps, they will experience some of the havoc they cause every state agency and employee, every city and town government, every school system and teacher, the unemployed and those on Medicaid by not doing their jobs.
