Did I actually just read the Aug. 30 column about Clinton v. Biden in “Sleepy race needs a cup of Joe” by Ned Barnett? There is nothing sleepy about this race.
Bernie Sanders is a firestorm and not just because he challenges the belief that we should bow down to the billionaires. He is a firestorm because his campaign is being built by volunteers like me. How did you miss this?
I was a Hillary Clinton supporter, and I have yet to even receive one email asking me to volunteer. I’ve signed up for emails from GOP candidates, just to see how they run their campaigns. They all want money. None of them is interested in my talents or time. It’s the opposite with Bernie.
We can give money, but it’s even more important we give our time and talents. Email after email is about signing petitions and volunteering. The Bernie campaign is about the people. This is exciting to me! Does it bore Ned Barnett?
