Charles Harner: Treat legislators like teachers

In a Sept. 4 letter “Give GA a teacher’s salary,” the writer proposed that members of the General Assembly should be paid the same salary they ask teachers to live on.

I’d add that they should also lose their staffs, since teachers are losing their aides. Oh, and let ’em buy their own office supplies, too.

Then we’ll all stand around bragging about how much we support and love them.
