Michael Savitt: Can’t pick, choose who to support

Although I am not a high school principal in Wake County, let’s assume I am. I have authority over everything that takes place at my school 24/7; plays, athletics, afterschool clubs and more. All of these events require my approval.

I believe my religious freedom overrides the law. I am a Jew; See You At The Pole – out. I am a Quaker; Junior ROTC – out. I am a Hindu; Future Farmers of America – you’re in unless you plan to be a cattle rancher, then you’re out.

So, I have two questions to ask the supporters of Kim Davis. Can they look in the mirror and honestly say that they will support me in my actions against these groups due to my religious beliefs? If I refuse to allow any of these groups on my campus, what do they think the legal consequences will be?
