Brian Mullan: No help from legislators

The Sept. 21 N&O front-page headline: “N.C. budget cuts $110 million from regional mental health.”

The Sept. 22 front-page headline: “Dad charged with kids’ attempted murder.”

I listened to that dad’s 911 call recording and all he kept saying was, “I asked for help, all I wanted was help, but nobody would help me.”

This is the legacy of the state legislators.
