Barton Holtz: Oh snap

I am shocked that Wake County is blocking such an important subject as Snapchat on its wi-fi network (Sept. 23 news story). As American students are falling behind their counterparts in other countries such as China, Japan and the European Union, it is more important than ever that our students be able to relax during the rigors of learning math, science and history and be allowed to exchange photos with those whom they may not be able to actually see face-to-face for a couple of hours.

I can’t wait to see what today’s generation has to offer our country in the future.
