LaVohn J. Lewis: Leave red wolf alone
I wholeheartedly agree with Sierra Weaver’s Sept. 29 letter “No defense for the death of red wolf.”
We have encroached on wild animal habitat for so long they don’t have anywhere to go except to urban areas and subdivisions. They don’t hurt anyone as long as we leave them alone.
There are over 1,500 species that are critically endangered, and over 300,000 species have disappeared in the last 50 years. Why do men feel the need to kill and destroy animals just because they are “wild”?
The red wolf is only in North Carolina. Please leave them in peace.
