Anne Locke: Recipient of medical miracles
The Oct. 8 news article “Duke, UNC scientists win Nobel in chemistry” was especially important to our family.
Recently at Duke Raleigh Cancer Center, my husband was operated on for lung cancer. The mass and a lobe were removed. The next day he walked around the ICU center, which is 200 feet. The family cannot sufficiently express its gratitude to the cancer center, the doctors and nurses and all personnel for their excellent care and attention during these past three months of care.
In the 80-plus years that my husband and I have been on this earth, it has been almost unbelievable the progress made in the medical field. We are so thankful to be able to partake of these miracles.
