Lane Schroeder: Let’s get some answers about Benghazi

Regarding the Oct. 21 editorial “Hunting Clinton”: Editorial board politics aside, the families of victims in the Benghazi attack and the entire country deserve answers that need to be forthcoming in the hearings led by Trey Gowdy.

Even though Hillary Clinton as secretary of state accepted responsibility for the disaster, her pathetic question “What does it matter?” was appalling.

Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens’ unheeded requests for more security, the blaming of an Internet video clip for inciting the attack, denying it was a terrorist attack and failing to supply military aid during the attack are most concerning issues that this investigation must clarify.

A responsible press should not try to undermine this endeavor. What does it matter? Let’s find out!
