Shannon Bryant: No tough questions

Clearly the writer of the Oct. 16 letter “Civil debate a treat” cares nothing for what honest candidates are like. The GOP is a mess, I agree, but painting halos on the Democrats’ heads is ridiculous.

I wonder what the debate would have been like if the moderator were someone biased against anything anyone on the stage had to say. The answers to questions people ought to want to know were not answered because the questions were not asked.

Hillary Clinton boasting that she is proud to have made an enemy of Republicans (or roughly half the country) is not at all civil. Make no mistake – her campaign will get nastier as it gets closer to primary time. .

I have to agree with another Oct. 16 letter, “A ho-hum debate,” when the writer stated, “I actually believe the candidates submitted their own questions.”
