Gilbert C. Brown: Why investigate Clinton?

Since 1968, seven U.S. ambassadors have died while performing their official duties.

Ambassador John Gordon Mein to Guatemala was killed by rebels in 1968. Ambassador Cleo J. Noel Jr. to Sudan was killed by terrorists in 1973. Ambassador Rodger P. Davies to Cyprus was killed by terrorists in 1974. Ambassador Francis E. Meloy Jr. to Lebanon was killed by terrorists in 1976. Ambassador Adolph Dubs to Afghanistan was killed by terrorists in 1979. Ambassador Arnold L. Raphel to Pakistan was killed in a suspicious plane crash in 1988. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens to Libya was killed by terrorists on 9/11 in 2012.

In only one of these incidents, in the loss of the lives brave people gave for their country and ours, has the secretary of state been called to testify before a committee of the House of Representatives.
