Nancy Hardin: Alternative pipeline
Instead of building the Keystone Pipeline for transporting a fossil fuel, let’s build a far-reaching series of interconnected pipes to transport water from flooded to drought-stricken areas.
It would be a massive infrastructure undertaking. It would be an engineering challenge to be able to switch flow direction as needed, rather like HOV lanes.
It could be done if our great minds work together and outside the box. It might even teach us to work together and to share a valuable commodity. Imagine that.
