John Davis: What does ‘fired’ mean at UNC?

Regarding the Nov. 13 news article “2 more employees dismissed”: Here we go again. UNC has “fired” two more employees in its relentless pursuit of truth and justice in the athletic-academic scandal.

Oh, wait, “firing” doesn’t include relieving them of their positions on the faculty. People who have been tarred with the brush of academic corruption are still permitted to influence the hearts and minds of impressionable young students?

When will UNC ever get it right?

John Davis
