Monica Benziger: Giving thanks
Acts of kindness can be found anywhere. Even if we don’t notice them.
My husband and I live in Raleigh. We are both disabled. Recently we went to a restaurant on Wake Forest Road for breakfast.
As we were finishing our meal, our waiter said, “ I have good news and bad news. The bad news is I have to make the chocolate milk. The good news is your bill has already been paid by a customer who wanted to remain anonymous.”
Wow! To whoever paid our bill, my husband and I say thanks! We wish them a very Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas and blessed New Year!
