Lauren Earnhardt: Costly refugees

On the subject of Syrian refugees, it would be most beneficial to the United States to decline their acceptance. Not only would accepting these refugees greatly increase a risk of danger and terrorist occurrences, but it also would make a big dent in the bank.

According to the Center for Immigration Studies, it costs 12 times as much to resettle a refugee in the United States than it would to care for the same refugee in a neighboring country. This information shows how unnecessary it is for the U.S. to allow these refugees to come into this country due to the amount it would cost.

As the United States loses a dramatic amount of money, the risk factor of terrorism will increase. This has to do with members of ISIS and their plan to come into the U.S. with the refugees.

ISIS is a problem not only for the United States but also for the rest of the world. ISIS is targeting everyone in efforts to cause harm to as many people as possible. The U.S. needs to join forces with the rest of the world to take down this terrorist group.
