Cindy Pittard: Easing his pain

Thank you for the wonderful and inspiring story about Shepherd (“Our time together was short, but meaningful,” Nov. 26 Focus article). The article brought me to tears reading about the compassion and caring he experienced in his last few hour of life. It is so inspiring to read about a story of kindness and compassion in this crazy world we live in today. I wish we all could share those traits to others in our world.
