Leah Perry: Time for action on guns

When is it time? Is it now? How many times do I have to see another mass shooting on the pages of an American newspaper before we become less apathetic?

The time is now. We need to care before it is too late, if it isn’t already.

We hold so firmly to our right to bear arms, but what about our right to life? I am worried about the future my children are being handed; it is full of danger and careless decisions. This is not the America I grew up in. This is not my parents’ America.

I don’t have the answer, but the problem is clear. We have a gun problem! Now what? It is time for action.
