Steve Groetzinger: A GOP ruse in action

This Syrian refugee “issue” isn’t one.

As we have seen in Paris, Boston and 9/11, it is easier to recruit locally or in our allied countries than to sneak someone through the border. Face it- It’s cheaper and easier for ISIS to “market troll” in the United States through mass media.

Even a politician can figure out that ISIS would be stupid to try disguising a terrorist as a refugee. “Here, Aabid, fill out these U.S. immigration forms, then after you sit in a refugee camp for two years, we’ll get you in and have you blow yourself up!” Sure.

With such a deep vetting process by the FBI, DHS and State Department, the perps would certainly be snagged, and with their proven penchant to blab, we would gain lots of great Hellfire missile targets.

No, this is just another component of the seven-year-long organized Republican campaign, complete with playbook, stall tactics, slogans and taglines for Fox News to whip hysteria and thwart anything good, humane and American that the president attempts to accomplish.
