Mark Barton: Religion over guns

I tend to support candidates for office who place a high value on religious freedom. I could not support a candidate who would limit or deny the religious freedom of Muslims, under the justification of protecting our lives, based on the tragic deaths of 16 people, and yet at the same time would vigorously defend the freedom to own guns at the cost of over 8,000 gun homicides per year. Religious freedom is far more precious than the right to own a gun.
