Terry Kelly: Graham’s stance hardly Christian

Regarding the Dec. 10 news article “Franklin Graham backs Trump on Muslim issue”: How can anyone affiliated with any religion continue to support Franklin Graham in his anti-Christian statements to ban Muslims to this country? It is not only un-American, but also un-Christian.

Graham has been on this bandwagon well before Donald Trump, but nobody has made an issue out of it. It would seem that more people would have been outraged at him than with Trump. Graham standing by Trump’s comments and taking credit for the same un-Christian belief is outrageous.

Maybe his followers should start putting Graham in the same context as Trump. I am outraged that someone of the cloth would make such a statement contrary to the beliefs of all Christians everywhere.

It is not right for anyone to judge a particular religion based on the few radicals who exist within. We should be judging based on our religious and American beliefs not the rhetoric that comes from Trump and a very respected religious leader!
