Michael Lupton: Hypocritical prosecutors

Though a majority of Americans are either following the lottery or the Steven Avery case, a few of us are keeping up with the Christine Mumma circus.

Through The N&O’s various investigative articles over the past few years, it has sadly become commonplace to see what prosecutors will do to win (many times at any cost).

I find it comical that the Mumma takedown involves a lone water bottle. With the ingenuity that many prosecutors have used to incarcerate so many, it would seem they could have come up with something a little more substantial.

I hope they do not prevail in smearing her reputation. I am glad she is out there.
