Charlie Blunt: Shell games

I was thinking during the Powerball lottery frenzy of these last several weeks that wouldn’t it be wonderful if some of these expenditures would provide incremental funding to our education system as was originally anticipated?

As most know, our legislature has decreased funding to education with the expectation that the lottery will provide that funding.

In your Jan. 15 Point of View “A liberal says ‘no’ to bond issue,” it appeared the same methodology was being used. We are being cleverly deceived.
