Ken Beck: Selective hearing

Regarding the Jan. 22 news article “Key aide: No recall of telling McCrory about side discussion”: It sounded like the governor suffers from “selective hearing” since he doesn’t recall hearing Graeme Keith Sr. propose to “expand prison contracts to all 56 state prisons.”

Sounds like a dad when his kids ask for a treat, “Sorry, I didn’t hear you.” Or a husband’s response to his wife, “Sorry, I didn’t hear you ask me to take the garbage out.”

It’s amazing how selective hearing works, only hearing the things that he wants, but he can’t hear what he doesn’t want or what is not politically convenient. Since Gov. Pat McCrory has excellent medical insurance paid for by the people, he could seek treatment for his hearing loss.

It’s time for the voters to “hear” what McCrory and the Republican legislature are saying and vote this “garbage” out of office.
