Philip F. Nangle: CSX a big benefit
Regarding N. Leo Daughtry’s Jan. 31 letter “CCX would benefit N.C.”: It is obvious he understands what a benefit the CSX Central Carolina Connector would be for Johnston County and Eastern North Carolina.
It is too bad the governor and the county commissioners were too busy shooting themselves in the foot to realize the benefits.
The land owners will be well-compensated for their property, and the project will have a big economic impact on the whole state.
