J.D. Howard: BCBS to blame for its troubles
Regarding the Feb. 11 business article “Blue Cross CEO: Insurer may leave ACA market”: It’s easy to be aggravated by Brad Wilson’s comments warning that Blue Cross and Blue Shield will consider leaving the ACA pending the rate increase it is granted next year.
Individual policyholders brace every year for the spanking.
Let the record show that Wilson fully embraced this law as individual policyholders, such as myself, wrote many letters to Congress warning of the consequences. This law has afforded health insurance to many, but it has done so on the backs of individual policyholders paying higher premiums for less coverage.
Yes, there are losers here. In regard to Wilson, Nero fiddled while Rome burned.
