Kenny Colbert: No solutions, just complaints

In response to the Feb. 21 Point of View “When experiments fail”: Kevin J. Rogers of Action NC said the 2013 changes to North Carolina’s unemployment system were an experiment that resulted in failure.

Nowhere in his POV did he mention that our state had to borrow $2.5 billion from the federal government to cover unemployment costs, that drastic changes had to be made and that businesses shouldered a part of that burden.

He is typical of many advocacy groups; they simply want to complain about the action taken, yet not offer any solutions to solve the problem.
