Kevin Nesbitt: New taxes ease burden on wealthy
Regarding the Feb. 28 news article “Sales tax on dozens of services starts Tuesday”: Thank you for printing the list of services that will now be taxed. It is clear that the services most people cannot complete on their own or “need” have been taxed. Those tasks that can be easily completed, i.e. “luxury” services, along with those that likely have large lobbyist teams backing them, have been left alone.
“Less is more” I guess, less taxes for wealthy mean more taxes for me. Score another for the Republicans.
